ECC To EWM Integration Not Working

The document discusses issues with integrating SAP ECC and EWM systems. The user created an RFC connection and CIF connection between the systems but outbound deliveries from ECC are not appearing in EWM. Errors in EWM logs indicate problems with business partner assignment, warehouse determination, and document type mappings. Suggestions are made to check IDOC generation, supply chain unit assignment, and warehouse number mapping between the systems.

ECC to EWM integration not working

Hello,

I am trying to build a demo system for EWM using IDES ECC & IDES EWM system.

I have done following steps in ECC & EWM integration

1) maintain RFC connection (Tested OK)

2) created CIF connection between ECC& EWM (working perfectly)

assigned warehouse ECC number to EWM warehouse number in EWM system

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1783683 1/9
2/28/2018 ECC to EWM integration not working

3)I am using std document types in ECC & EWM (that is using pre built in IDES)

4) using std item types & categories in ECC & EWM (that is using pre built in IDES)

however, when I create Sales order & create outbound delivery following happens

a) ECC system displays message that Outbound delivery is saved & distributed to WMS.

But I could not see it in EWM. also could not trace the message in ECC or EWM (I am looking for IDOC)

Can you please help me if there is any further settings to be made / checked?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dilip,

Check the system log using SLG1 in SCM. As far as I know, SCM system does not have
the delivey mapping config. Have you created all the EWM document types? Also check
the availability group config in EWM (ERP Plant + Sloc mapping to availability group in

eWM). Also try to manually create Outbound delivery in EWM itself (it might tell you what
the problem is)

Hi,

Most probably because of some mapping issues( Warehouse number mapping, Delivery
Type mapping, Delivery Item Type mapping e.t.c.). As mentioned in previous posts, check
SMQ2 & SLG1 for the latest log in EWM to see why it failed to create an Inbound Delivery
Request)

Hope it helps

Vinod.

I have checked using smq2 transaction

1) not possible to create heade data

2)No assignment possible of business partner 0001 to ERP

role ORG_UN

3)Office could not be determined for warehouse number

Further, I tried to send number of sales order from ecc,

however in EWM I see errors only for 3 outbound deliveries in
smq2.

even I could not see the IDOC for these in ECC. is there any
specific settings of IDOC required in sales order?

Can some one plese help me as to what tsettings to be

created / checked for ECC to EWM integration?? (I have
done all the settings mentioned in the document , but the data
is not flowing)

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

Check whether idoc is created in ECC so as to drop order to

EWM

Path : Go to delivery (Tcode : VL03N ) - Environment -

relation ship browser.

Here you can see whether idoc is created & processed. If

yes, then Idoc is dropped to EWM.Then will have to check
failed idoc /queues/application log to analyse for failure in
EWM.

From the error you mentioned,Seems supply chain unit is not

assigned to Warehouse.

Check below path

Go to Tcode : /SCMB/SCUMAIN - Supply chain Unit

Tcode : /SCWM/LGNBP - Assigning Supply chain unit to

Warehouse.

Hello,

Using the transaction VL03N--> Relationship browser I can

only see outbound delivery number and below it the sales
order number.I do not see any reference to IDOC.

Is there any settings to be done in customising to generate

IDOC for delivery?

Can I generate it manually for a single outbound delivery (for

testing purpose)

also, I have created the SCM unit & assigned it to WH.

howeevr I am not sure if system is using the same WH
number in integration (although the RFC connection i created
is the only one between the 2 systems)

regards

Dilip

Hi Dilip,

Is warehouse number assigned/Determined in delivery & if

yes is that EWM maintained?

Just check the below path - Goto SPRO ->Logistics

Execution - > Service parts Management - >Integrate EWM
with other components - >Maintain Extended WM - check the
setting for your warehouse.

The Customer you have used in the ERP Sales Order doesnt
exist in EWM. Use Business partner maintenance function in
EWM, to maintain all required roles (especially the role specified
by you) for the business partner. Once you maintain, redistribute
the outbound delivery.

Hi,

As far as I know, once QRFC is in place, data always sits in the queue and gets posted to
EWM by RFC call to a function module. IDOC does not get created in ECC at all. You can
always monitor queue in SMQ2 or SLG1 to troubleshoot for errors.Based on your errors, it
looks like the vendor / customer you are using is not replicated to EWM.

Hope that Helps

Hi ,

We do have a procedure as transaction data flows through Idoc

from R/3 to EWM with standard Idoc types provided by SAP

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1783683 6/9
2/28/2018 ECC to EWM integration not working

1.SHP_OBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA02 for dropping orders from

R/3 to EWM

2.SHP_OBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL03 - To send PGI

confirmation to R/3 from EWM

Also have different Idoc type for inbound and posting change
transaction.

Master data flows through CIF[Queue's].Not sure how your

system is configured for EWM - R/3 Communication.

Hi

Can you please check the status of your delivery in LIKP-VLSTK, or header processing
tab Dece. Whse field.

Did you distribute these deliveries using VL06O transaction??

Which transaction in EWM your checking for these deliveries..

Hi Dipak,

Just check below things.

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/1783683 7/9
2/28/2018 ECC to EWM integration not working

1.Go to SM58 check TRFC [Give user name or date of

creation of delivery].Check if any failed queue then you will
have to reprocess taht LUW to distribute order to EWM.

2.Check the setting of your warehouse at below place

Logistics Execution - >Service parts management - >Integrate

SPM with other component - >Maintain EWM specific
parameter ->

If Extended WM setting for your warehouse is ERP with

decentral WM then it drops order via Idoc,If its ERP with
EWM then it drops orders via queue's [U need to create
distribution model ].Just check.

If you send outbound delivery from ECC to EWM and you can´t
see in EWM, you can check what happend in SMQ2 transaction
in EWM. In this transaction you can see all queues that ECC send
to EWM like queues of master data, documents etc.

Enter to SMQ2 transaction, select client, enter * in queue name

and execute, in the next screen you will see all documents or
master data queues. If you want to see the problem select the
queu and click on display selection icon, then selec the queue
and clic on display icon again, Finally doble clic in status text.
