AUTOSAR

The Automotive Systems Group within the Engineering Design Centre of Renesas Electronics Europe
produces embedded software systems based on the leading range of microcontrollers and microprocessors
developed by Renesas and targeted at the Automotive sector. Renesas has a strong presence in this
market, working closely with leading car manufacturers and their immediate suppliers. The company is
enjoying sustained growth and there is now a need to increase headcount to support this.

The automotive team at Renesas is one of the most innovative working in this area and is currently creating
solutions destined for the most technologically advanced vehicles from the worlds’ leading prestige car-
makers.

Job content:
 The AUTOSAR team are primarily focused on the development of software products for Renesas
high end microcontrollers, based upon the AUTOSAR automotive industry standard. This team is
one of the leading implementers of this standard and is actively involved in a number of customer
integrations on a world-wide basis.

Key Skills

 Embedded C
 Good knowledge of embedded Microcontrollers
 Experience in AUTOSAR SW driver development
 Experience in SW Project Management
 Experience to perform requirements analysis, safety concept development, design and FMEA
at AUTOSAR MCAL layers
 Experience in state-of-the art tools for embedded SW development and verification.
 Requirements management experience
 Experience to work in an international development team distributed over multiple locations
 Experience to work with SW Third Parties
 Functional Safety Know-How (ISO26262).
 Write, debug, review, test and document C code according to SW Industry Standards (MISRA,
SPICE, CMMI)
 Multicultural and international attitude
 Ideally Automotive knowledge
Excellent English (spoken and written)

Work tasks
 Development of drivers for AUTOSAR MCAL layer for Renesas RH850 (32-bit)
Microcontrollers
 Development of drivers for ISO26262 compliant MCAL implementation;
 Definition of Functional Safety Concepts in Co-operation with the Functional Safety Managers.
 Handle supplier management with the external software supplier
 Define and follow up on requirements
 Build-up of new orders of software to the supplier;
 Follow-up of indicators for upper management ( solved technical facts, customer satisfaction,
delivery delays );
 Work with inside MKT teams to define MCAL Roadmap for Renesas products
 Work in integration Projects with major automotive SW suppliers
 Technical support for Renesas clients of the above
