Manual Gearbox

The manual gearbox allows a vehicle to change gears in order to provide enough torque to either start from a stop or overcome resistance while moving. It consists of sprockets arranged on three shafts - a first shaft connected directly to the engine, an intermediate shaft that rotates in the opposite direction of the engine, and a countershaft with sprockets that can engage with the intermediate shaft to select gears and transfer power to the wheels.
