2014)
Subject: Message Codes (2 Digit) Displayed on RPO UDB DIC and Not
Included in Owner Manual

Models: 2011-2012 Chevrolet Cruze (Canada Only)

2012 Chevrolet Orlando (Canada Only)
2013-2014 Chevrolet Spark, Trax (Canada Only)
Equipped with Instrument Display (RPO UDB)

This PI has been revised to update the Model Years. Please discard PI0591A.

Condition/Concern

Some customers may comment that there is a 1 or 2 digit code displayed in the driver
information center (DIC) display that is not shown in the Vehicle Message section of the
Owners Manual.

Recommendation/Instructions

DIC messages display when the status of the vehicle has changed and action may be
needed to correct the condition.

Press any of the DIC buttons on the turn signal lever to acknowledge and clear them from
the display.

Note: More urgent messages cannot be cleared from the DIC display.

Important: All messages should be taken SERIOUSLY. Clearing messages will NOT correct
the problem.

The warning text in the table is intended to convey meaning and aid in tracking. Not all of
these codes may be applicable to the customer’s vehicle and will depend on option content.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform
these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the WE SUPPORT
proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know- VOLUNTARY
how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your TECHNICIAN
vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle
