 UAN will be portable throughout the working career of members and
can be used anywhere in India.

 UAN for an employee would be like a bank account number, which


would not get changed if the person shifts jobs as well as locations.

 The Employees of covered Establishment would not need to apply for


transfer of PF account claim on changing Job.

 Claims would also be settled faster once saving bank account details
of Members are seeded with UAN.

 KYC details will enable EPFO in future to provide services directly to


the beneficiaries without intermediation of the employer.
