MASTER CLOCK
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
•I
To use this master clock correctly and safely, please be sure to read
and observe the following precautions on safety. Also, please note that we· shall
not be responsible for damages to be resulted from your use against these
precautions.
·-------&WARNING
Precautions
------·
In paragraphs with this marking, precautions are
itemized which should be observed to avoid dangers of
losing life of a person in charge or of hurting the person.
e Do not touch the printed circuit board inside by hand, but it is feared that you will get
an electric shock.
e Do not allow general persons, who have no knowledge of setting and using the master
clock, to use the master clock.
e Earthing
• To prevent electric shock, be sure to earth the master clock before turning on the
power.
• To make the built- in surge absorber (not a lightning arrester) efficient, be sure to earth
the master clock.
• Earthing is effective to reduce noise. But. please note that frame ground with other
power eq uipment exerts adverse influence on the master clock due to interference with
the power equipment.
&CAUTION
e Power source
• Use a input power source of 1OOVAC or 220VAC which is not turned off all the t1me.
• Check if the supply voltage of the master clock is equal to the service vol tage.
• Th is master clock is suitable to input power sources of both 1 OOVAC and 200VAC
(automatic selection).
· Use the input power source in the range from 85 to 132VAC or from 170 to 264VAC
(47Hz to 440Hz).
Nothing will occur while the master clock is used normally. When some cause
increases the output voltage or in case of overload, the master clock is designed to shut
off the output as the function to protect the power unit.(The run indicator LED goes out.)
To reset th is function . remove the factor (connection of too many slave clocks) of overload
by turning off the "AC" and " DC" switches and awa1t for about a m inute. Then, turn on
the both switches .

.Installation
• Operating temperature range : -20 to + 60"C
Temperature range for guaranteed accuracy : {Model TXS- 9 : 0 to 40 "C
Model TXS - 10: - 10 to 60 "C
• Don't place any device on this master clock, but the master clock will get out of order.
• Don't install the master clock at the following places :
• High temperature and humid place
• Unstable place
• Where sharp temperature change causes dew.
In case of trouble
•when any of abnormal conditions such as smoke and abnormal smell from the master
clock is sensed, turn off the "AC" and "DC" switches immediately.
Circuit Breaker
•In case of overcurrent to the input power source, either or the both of the reset buttons
(See the figure below.) of the AC and DC circuit breakers will pop up, and the (both)
circuit (s) will be broken. Checking to remove the cause (s) (short circuit in the AC
or DC line, or connection of too many slave clocks), await for over 10 seconds and
press the reset button (s) to make the circuit (s) again.
To set the DIP switch, use a straight screwdriver. Select a proper size one, but it is
feared that the switch will be broken.
Do not install the master clock leaving screw, parts or metal pieces inside, but it is feared
that short circuit will occur.
Don't pull connection cables inside the block excessively. It is feared that connectors
will be damaged, that no screen will appear or that the master clock will come not to
work.
Don't water the master clock. It is feared that a short circuit will occur in the master
clock.
e Don't wipe the master clock with a cloth wetted with solvent such as benzine and thinner.
It is feared that the clock housing will be deformed or that paint will come off.
Don't disassemble or remodel the master clock. It is feared that no screen will appear
or that the master clock will come not to work.
