Habitat centre

Introduction

The habitat centre is modelled after the India habitat centre at New Delhi.

Habitat Centre is a multipurpose building. Mixing work, commercial and social


spaces.This is mainly engaged in the promotion of arts, culture, habitat and heritage.
A habitat centre society will be formed as a special purpose vehicle primarily for
operation, development and management of the proposed facility.

Aim
The aim is to set up an exclusive and permanent facility which can host events
related to arts, culture and heritage.

Objective
To facilitate the exhibition of different art forms, cultural extravaganza and other
activities relevant In displaying the rich cultural heritage of the city. To develop a
common ground for the display of different varlties of fine arts as well as cultural
displays, not only belonging to local talent, but also those belonging to national and
international artists.

Scope
Art galleries and exhibition centres to showcase different arts and culture Setting up
of learning centres such as studios and workshops to develop the talent in young
minds.
Designing of auditoriums and open air theatres to host various performances. Ample
amount of parking facility
Circulation pattern - Pattern How of pedestrians and vehicles inside the complex. To
provide accomodation facilities for guests and artists.

Thrust area
Usage of local materials for construction and developing the building by
understanding the works of Le Corbusier and his styles of Architecture.
