Summary:
words on the worksheet.
Estimated I plan on this activity lasting about 120 minutes, over the duration of two days. This allows all the
Duration:
children to get a chance to get familiar with the technology, explore the materials, and learn their new
vocabulary words! I feel this amount of time is appropriate for this age group, because they seem to be
very fascinated with the technology.
Instructional Procedures:
Day 1:
I will bring the children together participating in this activity and explain the technology, QR codes, proper handling of
materials, and how the activity is set up. I will show the students how to use the scanner and the QR codes. After all the
explaining is done, I will pass out worksheets to the students with the codes on them and see how well they use the
technology to find the proper words on their papers! I plan to have different codes for each student, about 10-15 codes
per day, per student!
Day 2:
This day will be very similar to day 1! The children will get another worksheet with added vocabulary to try to match
using the codes! The children will get the hang of the activity in no time!
