QUESTION 1

A researcher conducts a survey to find out the perception and satisfaction level of university
students on the newly implemented Goods and Services Tax (GST). The population is from
five well known universities students in Kedah. In the survey, 500 students were selected at
random from this five various universities in Kedah. The students were identified by their
hand phone numbers and students identification numbers. Among the questions asked are
the students ethnicity, age (in years), and their ratings (1 to 5) of the perception and
satisfaction level on the implementation of GST.

The following table shows the calling time (in minutes) by callers to a customer service center
at Company Z for a period of 9.00 am to 9.30 am.
