ROMANIAN ORIGINS (I)

THE FOREFATHERS

In prehistorical times, around 2000 years B.C., tribes of European descent naming themselves ARYANS (in
Sanskrithian language, "Aryan"="Nobleman") invade through the North-Western part of India. The origins of
these European tribes is still highly disputed. Some do consider them as being of Greek, Germanic or Celtic
descent, but most historians believe they would have had "Latin" roots- due to similarities existing between many
Sanskrithian words with their Latin correspondents.

Researchers beyond any doubt have established, after long finding efforts, that the one and only Space relating
itself to the characteristics shown within old Vedic literature ("VEDA"="TO SEE", its Romanian corresponding
being "A VEDEA") would be none other than the Carpathian one, inside which a scholar from Cambridge
University is locating, through a chapter titled "Ancient India" (E.J. Rapson: "A Cambridge History of India",
pages 65-76), the primary phase of Vedic culture. In 1993, "Barnes & Noble" editorial house publishes V.
Gordon Childe's work, "Cradle of Civilization- the Aryans"; inside his book, the author presents, across pages
176-177, the Aryan tribes distribution chart during their very first appearance, from which a positioning of these
clearly follows up as being located inside the Carpatho-Danubian-Pontic Space, respectively between the
Carpathian Mountains and Nister River, as well as between the Carpathians and Balkan Peninsula on the other ax.

The Aryan invaders were having an advanced tribal social life form, every tribe naming, thus, a so called "KING"
-or "RAJAKH" as Supreme Lord, whose position became, afterwards, hereditary. Their family life was
dominated by:

1) the Father ("PITHAR", in Sanskrithian language, a word sounding most familiar to Romanian ears since it
means "baker", while "PITA", respectively "bread"), who was bringing "bread" (namely, food) to the household.
The German synonim for "pithar" is "VATER", and the Latin one, "PATER".

2) the Mother ("MATAR", in the same Sanskrithian dialect, while "MUTTER" in German, "MATER" in Latin,
"MITIR" in Greek and "MAMA", or "MATA" in Romanian), who was enjoying a certain freedom, having her
own authority upon children and servants.

All these Aryan, white people, finally come to overlap the local Negroid population, however without mixing up
with the latter, and manage to divide the prehistorical Indian-Hindu society into 4 social classes, later to be
baptized "CASTS", as follows:

1) the Priests' Cast - included the BRAHMAN PRIESTS and Aryans themselves, namely rich and powerful
individuals;

2) the Cast of Rulers and Warriors (named "KSATRIYA");

3) the Cast of Merchants and Peasants (called "VAISYAS");

4) the Cast of Servants (called "SUDRAS"), formed of the people's majority and who were really "sweating"
whereas doing hard work to the welfare of first three Casts (within Romanian language, the term "SUDOARE"
means exactly "PERSPIRATION").

The "BRAHMANIAN CAST" was considered to be most important, while its Priest members were thought to be
born... twice! (A such so called "second birth" was said to come when a Brahman became totally initiated within
the mysteries of "VEDIC SCIENCE"- summing up the entire accumulated Aryan knowledge.) As for the
society's "SACRED LITERATURE", this latter discipline was basically containing two large works' categories:

1) orally heard and known- named "SHRUTI" (whereas pronounced "ASRUTI", with its phonetical translation
being highly similar to a Romanian correspondent, "STIUTI", as "KNOWN" =... "SHRUTI");

2) existing in written form- which was "SMRTI" in Sanskrithian language.

Nevertheless, later texts of "Shruti" literature's provenience were considered able to exercise the highest
authority, for those were thought as having been transmitted to humble mortals by Gods Themselves. Should we
now analyze "SHRUTI" in detail, within this category are to be included the "RIG VEDA", "SAMA VEDA",
"ATHARUA VEDA", "BRAHMANAS", "ARANYAKAS" and, last but not least, the "UPPANISHADS". (It
appears necessary to underline, here, that the term "VEDA", or "VID" in the Sanskrithian language translates
itself through "knowing", or "seeing"- and, taking a guess which of the World's many languages might provide a
closer correspondent, is up to... our days' Romanian people; "to see"="a vedea", in Romanian.) The first 4
collections of "Shruti" texts" include hymns, generally dedicated to the local various Divinities, while the
"UPPANISHADS" acceed to a much higher spiritual level, by providing speculative and philosophical ways of
thinking, all committed to the perpetual SEEKING FOR ABSOLUTE TRUTH. Yet, in spite of their
Mathusalemic age, these texts' intrinsec value can still compete against any great modern or contemporary
philosopher's perspective, since having been conceived on the same elevated spiritual horizons. Should we detail
the "Uppanishads" ' content, they deal with many ritual, ceremonious instructions and general rules of conduct
for anybody. There are 108 "Uppanishads" in total, yet only 10 of these enjoy worldwide fame. To satisfy your
most understandable curiosity, let's see how the very first one of them begins, even through an (imperfect)
English translation (see also "THE UPPANISHADS", English version, which may be bought, for instance, at any
"Barnes & Noble" bookstore):

"OM (KATHA)...

May Brahman protect us,

May He guide us,

OM- peace, peace, peace..."

After consulting the above discussed English version book, we were startled to find out that "OM" appears as the
one and only word which "couldn't" have been translated into English, out of Sanskrithian. Why was that,
anyway? Should the notion of "OM" have, all of a sudden, become so incomprehensible to... the entire World?!...
Within the "Uppanishads'" foreword, a critic tries to explain its meaning in accordance with the work's
perspective: "OM, a symbol of Brahman or God, represents to all Hindus a Divine word... and thus bears a
solemn resonance, which might be prolonged indefinitely". Therefore, the term of "OM" symbolizes overall an
indestructible link between Supreme Creator and Matter, whereas being also the word pronounced with highest
respect, and only standing, inside all Hindu temples. Yet, the only nation in the World whose very language
provides sense to this term is (again) the Romanian one: "OM"= "MAN", and should someone call himself, or be
called by others as "OM" means that this person is righteous, reliable and overall of noble character.

Would there be, among old spoken Romanian, any other groups of terms with "similar" hidden significations??
The term "IAMA", for instance, looks unknown to the current Romanian phrasing, yet... it's still present within
an old but very frequent proverbial expression : "A DA IAMA-N VITE" (that is, "TO SPREAD DEATH
AMONG CATTLE"). And, should we look back in History, we might indeed find "IAMA" to be THE DEAD
ONES' SUPREME GOD AND JUDGE throughout the ancient Vedic religion. Vedic religion and culture
(quoting from Mr. Gabriel Gheorghe's work "Methodological Aspects from France has been Romanophonic")
appear to have indeed represented Carpatho-Danubian Space's oldest cultural manifestation. And, even though
Vedic culture has disappeared, as factual reality, some very long time ago, the Vedic people's life experiences,
which later were to prove themselves as closely approaching Christianity's, have continuously been kept alive
through Romanian population's major characteristic habits crosswise milleniums, as transmitted from father to
son. This fact should constitute only a starting point in showing evidence that, even those future-to-be
ROMANIANS who didn't "get acquainted" to the so called "formal Christianization" (through administrative
compulsion) WERE IN FACT CHRISTIANS BEFORE ITS "OFFICIAL" SPREADING WORLDWIDE,
through the major living ways expressed by their early History.

Let's now choose another Pelasgian word and see how it's being treated by Linguistics' Archaeology:
"BAN" ("RULER")- namely one of the oldest linguistic relics, considered already as being "ancient" some 4,000
years ago. Several research studies would point out a few present days' consequences of its "participation" into
the Aryan population's exuberant swarm through Europe, from within the Carpatho-Danubian Space towards as
far as Central Asia territories. And, since throughout the old Sanskrithian language its principal meaning was that
of "Leader", "Ruler", Polish people would later "borrow" it accordingly, as "BAN" or "PAN", whereas into
Greek language it would ultimately come to signify "Great", "Famous", "Powerful"- the same "PAN". It's a good
thing that at least Sanskrithians didn't care to change the word's initial meaning, keeping it as "BAN", just as
Romanians would later preserve it as well. Also, "PANONIA", the well known Hungarian plain zone, might be
originally "translated" as "LAND OF PANS (BANS)". Inside Romania itself, the term is nowadays encountered
all over the country's principal regions: "BANAT", the "BANATIAN ROAD", the "BANEASA FOREST" and
many more.

These Aryans of Carpathian Space descent have spread themselves not only towards Asia... They were actually
"swarming" all around the known continents of that time, determining virtual outbursts of civilization such as the
ones in ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt or on Crete Island- representing, therefore, a Prehistorical Age's apogee,
while at the same time an apogee of Carpathian culture's domination.

Professor Dr. Giles, an expert on Hindus, defines (within his major work, "A Cambridge History of India", pages
68 through 70) the Aryan civilization's cradle inside a vast Carpathian Land, having the Balkans at its Southern

side and, respectively, the Alps at its West. He would also baptize the FIRST PERIOD OF ARYAN CULTURE
as "DANUBIAN I", having the Dacian spiral as main characteristic feature. Many burned-clay pots, dating from
the above discussed Age show, indeed, seemingly senseless spirals being smeared all over their surface. Should
those spirals have been "meaningless" indeed??... (We should see that later, along the "Pelasgian Symbolism"
chapter.) The "Danubians", or self-named Aryans, goes on Dr. Giles, scatter themselves everywhere in Europe,
occupying considerable parts of today's Poland and Southern Germany while taking over the tall men of Nordic
race (probably shepherds) and assimilating this group. Having widespread also through the Balkans- especially
within Thessalia, they come to settle almost everywhere, not "missing" anything and conquering, not as much
through brutal force than spiritual training, areas which range from the (afterwards called) "legendary" Troja to
ancient Anatholia. Thus THE AXE, AS A FIGHTING WEAPON back home, on the Danube River's shores,
would nevertheless extend its local use "far and away", during the Great Trojan War-times.

The old ritual of cremating dead ones on funeral pyres had also started in association with Aryans' Cult, after
they would have "taken care" to spread it all over. Even back home, the later-born Thracian-Pelasgian population
was to carry it for an extremely long time, from around the third millenium B.C. up to shortly before A.D., a time
when Zamolxis, the new Underworld God bringing a burial cult with Himself, was to substitute Gebeleizis, the
Heavenly God, as Supreme Thracian Divinity.

Hindu-Sanskrithians, Chaldeans, Egyptians, Hebrews (with their Mosaic Cult), Christians (with their own
Christian Cult) were to become no more, no less than the most important carriers of prehistorical Pelasgian
culture, namely of Vedic culture. The closer we tend to approach our days' period, the more our basic knowledge
regarding the past transforms itself, as well. If, some 100 years ago, the Sanskrithian language

had been declared to make only "a Greek dialect", by a linguist named Lempriere, today this fact appears to us
either as a joke or naked ignorance. Ancient religions and cultures' studies do gradually become a sort of
challenging "adventure", which may eventually bring into the researcher's mind new reflexions on previously
unconceivable ideas. For instance, while wandering through "Theosophical Literature" or "Esoteric Budhism"
one may find himself "carried away" from Asia to Eastern or Western Europe and, from over there, towards the
"Black Continent", Africa... Just by projecting simple outlooks on the World... and only to eventually startle at
their hidden symbolism. These conceptions depict the World's spiritual history by dividing it into CYCLES, each
one containing, in its turn, 7 ESSENTIAL TIME PERIODS FOR RACIAL EXISTENCE as follows:

-the first two, IMMATERIAL ones;

-the third one marks an APPARITION OF SEXES, namely of the LEMURIANS (Negroid population to have
supposedly lived on a legendary ground strip which was, once, linking Australia to Africa);

-the fourth, namely of the ATLANTIS race;

-the fifth, consisting of HUMAN race, namely US, who should presently find herself right at its middle;

-the sixth and seventh would be, again, IMMATERIAL ones, whereas closing a cycle.

The World's ancient architects were talking back then about 7 known planets (Mercury, Venus, EARTH, Mars,

Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus- because Neptune and Pluto hadn't been discovered yet, though some of them yet
considered our Solar system as having no less than 12 planets (?!). They also used to think about living creatures
who belonged to the first two races as being "DEVA", or "DAVA", namely a kind of Gods who were,
subsequently, worshipped within all old Sanskrithian writings... Actually words to have initially been brought to
the Hindus by Aryan invaders, altogether with their Divine symbolism. Should we, now, take a long jump from
far-off India to our local Thracian forefathers... we would indeed "discover", as earlier pointed out, the old
Sucidava fortress as "City of God Suci", Moldova region as "God Mol's Land" and, like we said, such Thraco-
Dacian terms which had seemed "meaningless"before do suddenly acquire a clear signification. Moreover,
ROMANIA has, even nowadays, a "DEVA CITY"! We find out, thus, how settlements, locations or whole
regions from within ancient Thracia, belonging to the prehistorical Pelasgian world, were in fact
SUBORDINATED TO GODS FROM THE WORLD'S FIRST OR SECOND RACE. And when the Tibethan
wisemen, being themselves just other disciples of Aryan- Sanskrithian masters, do begin their holy prayers with
the same "OM" notion to be found all over the "Uppanishads'" openings and throughout Vedic writings, "OM",
THE ARYAN HUMAN BEING WHO BOUNDS AN IMMATERIAL, SUPREME CREATURE TO A
MATERIAL ONE, you will, then, ask yourselves whether there are many other Sanskrithian words similar to
ours. Of course yes!... For example, "PARA", as a monetary trading unit, or the word "BAN" 's secondary
meaning (that is "COIN", in both languages), and still much more.

ABOUT OUR FAITH

Whenever theosophers are launching attacks which target our Christian values or character, up to consider us as
"occultists" and "dogmatics", they might actually have a point of view there... Because, if the Roman Emperor
Trajan DID conquer some 14 % of ancient Dacia, transforming it into a Roman province only after having stolen
the late King Decebalus' huge thesaurus, he would "give" us "in exchange" CHRISTIANITY with the so called
DOGMA (that is "BELIEVE, YET DO NOT SEARCH FOR") OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (as referring
to Virgin Mary), and also the MAGIC, PROPHECY and MAGICIANS surrounding Lord Jesus' Bethleem
birthdate (namely, THE BIRTH). Should we look precisely from this angle, we, Christians, might rediscover
ourselves as being genuine dogmatics or occultists, having faith in Magic and Magicians, Prophets and
Prophecies through an actual going back to the Pelasgian Era. But, since THE ULTIMATE TRUTH CAN'T BE
DESTROYED EVER, I myself have to consider today, just as the Esotherics once did, that "NO RELIGION, OR
LAW MAY PREVAIL ABOVE THE TRUTH"! I was born a Christian, still am and I'm proud of it, while the
Orthodox Christianity represents an intimate part within our people's tradition; it made us fight... and die for it.
Which doesn't mean, though, I should restrain my comments and searches upon acceeding to the Truth, how
"sweet" or "tough" this one might prove to be.

Unfortunately, various religions around the Globe have sacrificed, and are still sacrifying millions of their
faithfuls' lives; whereas Christian or Islamic Middle Age periods should also be remembered for massive
bloodshed, recruiting being carried out by fanatics on the sword's edge and the erection of Churches or Mosques
"above" innocent victims' mass graves, the phenomenon nevertheless continued and... keeps going on, as well,
nowadays. In the name of whom, and for what might someone try to justify either the Jewish Holocaust, with its
millions being savagely "cleansed" by Nazis and their followers, or the contemporary, permanent "guerilla-style"
bombings and murders among Catholic or Protestant Irish individuals of same descent, living within Northern
and Southern parts of the same island? And the same thing goes for the bloody conflict among former
Yugoslavian Republics: three "brotherhoods", actually of common descent and speaking a common language,
happen to choose three different religions only to... start butchering themselves, as a result.

Mankind cannot afford to wait for "the Day After", that day when Jesus, Moses, Buddha... Gebeleizis and
Zamolxis are supposed to "come down", on Earth, to see what happens over here in their names, whereas all
religions' universal essence claims to be layed on common sense, justice, peace and truth... NEITHER
RELIGION, NOR LAW SHOULD COME TO PREVAIL ABOVE THE ETERNAL TRUTH!
