a disease of the arteries characterized by the deposition of plaques of fatty material on their
inner walls.

ASTHMA

Type 2 diabetes is a progressive condition in which the body becomes resistant to the normal
effects of insulin and/or gradually loses the capacity to produce enough insulin in the pancreas.

HEARTDISEASES

In the arteries of the heart it is known as coronary artery disease, in the legs, peripheral
arterial disease. Atherosclerosis happens over a period of time and its consequences can be
grave and include heart attack and stroke. Cardiomyopathyrefers to diseases of the heart
muscle.

METABOLIC SYNDROME

Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions increased blood pressure, high blood sugar,
excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels that occur
together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

OSTEOPOROSIS

a medical condition in which the bones become brittle and fragile from loss of tissue,
typically as a result of hormonal changes, or deficiency of calcium or vitamin D.

STROKE

anyone at any time. It occurs when blood flow to an area of brain is cut off. When this happens,
brain cells are deprived of oxygen and begin to die. When brain cells die during a stroke,
abilities controlled by that area of the brain such as memory and muscle control are lost.
