Reflections on Observation Task 4: Development of Early Writing Skills

1. What are developmental writing stages the majority of the students in?

Majority of the students are in the medium level based on the writing skills
because a couple of the students were not holding the pencil well and from that
they could not write in a correct way. However, the other students were writing
the letters in a correct way with holding the pencil in right position.

2. Describe and explain two (2) suggested strategies that the teacher can use to help the majority
of the students within their developmental writing stage.

- Create four lines in a worksheet to students write the letters on it.


- Practice with the students the writing every day, for example, let them to write their
names.
