SSB AM: Data, Questions & Insights

The document discusses single sideband amplitude modulation (SSB AM) and provides data on two types: single sideband reduced carrier (SSBRC) and single sideband suppressed carrier (SSBSC). For SSBRC, it gives the amplitude and frequency for two points. For SSBSC, it provides amplitude and frequency for one point but leaves the values blank for the second point. It concludes that SSBSC removes one sideband and the carrier completely while SSBRC removes one sideband but retains a small carrier, making SSBSC more power efficient.

SINGLE SIDEBAND AM

CONCLUSION

Single side band is frequently defined as the output power of

the transmitter or a transmission.

Amplitude modulation builds an output wave which doubled

the bandwidth of the original baseband signal.

SSBSC is widely used in the field of communication. It is

characterized by only one sideband - the other sideband and
the carrier are both removed.

SSBRC is a type single sideband modulation which removes

one sideband, but retains a small amount of carrier.
Normally, the power efficiency of this form of single sideband
modulation is not as high as single sideband suppressed
carrier.
