Performance Standard :
The learner appropriately manages concerns during puberty to achieve holistic health.

I. Objectives/Competencies
By the end of the session, the students will be able to:
1. Answer the pretests on Dimensions of Holistic health
2. Evaluate improvement of his/her health habits and practices
3. Agree on practices of adolescents in managing things.

II. Subject Matter


TOPIC: Growing Healthy Introduction to Dimensions of Holistic Health
REFERENCE: TG, LM, Internet
MATERIALS: TV, Video Clips, Visual Aids

III. Procedure
A. Lesson Proper
1. Motivation. Show Time!
a. Show different healthful activities of adolescents on TV.
b. Ask them what dimension of health each activity develops most.

2. Presentation/Discussion
A. Pretest
Directions: Encircle the letter of the correct answer.
The health dimensions are interrelated. However, some activities develop a specific dimension
more than others. What dimension of health does each activity develop most?
Write: P for Physical health, S for Social health, MS for Moral-spiritual Health, E for Emotional
health, M for Mental health

B. There are changes that happen to boys and girls during puberty. Write TRUE if the statement is
correct and FALSE if it is wrong. (10 statements of changes displayed on TV).

C. Encircle the letter of your answer. (10 Questions displayed on TV).

D. Directions: Put a check (/) if the statement relates to your practice or habit and (X) if it does not.
(10 statements displayed on TV).

Evaluate your answer. How many did you check?


The number of items you checked describes your health habits and practices:
9-10 - Excellent Keep it up!
7-8 - Very satisfactory
5-6 - Satisfactory
3-4 - Fair
1-2 - Need improvementyou need to change and correct your health habits and practices.
IV. Assessment
A. Directions: The following are practices of adolescents in managing things.
Write A if you Agree with the practice and D if you Disagree.

V. Assignment
Study the five (5) Dimensions of Holistic Health and the various activities that can improve each
of the health dimensions.
