Assignment Iv PDF

1. The document contains 15 problems related to calculating different types of dispersion in optical fibers including intermodal dispersion, material dispersion, and pulse broadening. It asks the reader to calculate dispersion parameters like dispersion per unit length and total dispersion over a given length of fiber for different fiber types and light sources. 2. The problems provide refractive index values, numerical apertures, fiber lengths, light source wavelengths and spectral widths to calculate dispersion and pulse broadening. 3. The questions require determining dispersion coefficients, maximum bandwidths, bit rates, delay differences between modes, and bandwidth-distance products.
