What The Goals of A Song Leader Should Be

The song leader's goals are to create an atmosphere of worship for the congregation and encourage them to sing rightly to God. The song leader should help the congregation focus on the songs, give instruction on the music, and show God's character. The song leader must be prepared, avoid distractions, start with familiar songs, and lead enthusiastically without drawing attention to themselves. They should not manipulate experiences or focus on their hymnal instead of the congregation.

the congregation to sing right to the Lord that would reflect His character like beauty, holiness,
etc. and not to manipulate an experience.

2. The song leader must be aware of the hindrances in worship and the congregations
full participation in congregational singing.

make the singing a Sweet flow. He also must be spiritually and physically prepared.
He must disregard any mistakes that he committed on his song leading. Never react, and
continue singing.

3. Say Hymn Number instead of Page Number because sometimes there are 2 songs in 1 page.
4. Never use your head to conduct or to give the beat.
5. Never ever prepare before a service, it is good to be prepared 1 week before that specific service.
6. Never give a wrong que
7. Never give a wrong pattern for a congregational singing, study and practice it before time.
8. Dont make excessive movements, till it looks like your dancing with the song youre leading with.
