Manager Education, United National Development Program (UNDP) Pakistan


Nov 2016 to date

The Manager Education is responsible for the overall coordination, management and implementation of the
education and peace building component of the UNDP FATA Recovery Project. The work includes identification of
schools in consultation with the government, rehabilitation of schools using government, NGOs and private
contractors, training of teachers and education managers, and ensuring qualitative improvement in teaching and
learning in the target schools. The Education Manager liaise with the national and local authorities and the
implementing partners which includes government agencies, community organizations and NGO
partners/construction firms to ensure effective and timely implementation and reporting on the project. Working in
close coordination with other UNDP project teams, other UN agencies, government officials, technical
advisors/experts, donors and civil society, the summary of key function of the Manager Education are:
Formulate robust strategies and action plans for the projects education component
Ensure timely and effective management and implementation of the projects education component

In response to global call for proposal from EU, designed project proposal on strengthening child protection
system and capacity of the ministry of social welfare, gender and children affairs of the gov. of Sierra Leone.

education focusing on formal/informal education and skill building programs for children/youth withdrawn
from labour.
Successfully implemented 18month ILO funded project on TACKLE child labour through education and
livelihood. The project focused on developing community based mechanism for prevention and response to
child labour as well as improving family income as a measure of preventing child labour.
Developed proposal for scaling up the innovative pilot project on microfranching a model promoting youth
self employment.
Conducted needs assessment and developed proposal on promoting girls educations focusing on retention and
