3 Solar Charge Controller

A solar charge controller is needed in virtually all solar power systems that utilize batteries. The
job of the solar charge controller is to regulate the power going from the solar panels to the
batteries. Overcharging batteries will at the least significantly reduce battery life and at worst
damage the batteries to the point that they are unusable.

The final function of modern solar charge controllers is preventing reverse-current flow. At night,
when solar panels arent generating electricity, electricity can actually flow backwards from the
batteries through the solar panels, draining the batteries. Youve worked hard all day using solar
power to charge the batteries, you dont want to waste all that power! The charge controller can
detect when no energy is coming from the solar panels and open the circuit, disconnecting the
solar panels from the batteries and stopping reverse current flow.

Model of Solar Charge Controller

SCC-01
This SCC-01 Solar controller (also known as an intelligent solar charge controller, PV controller) can
intelligently regulate the working voltage of solar panels, letting the solar panels always work at Maximum
Power Point of V-A curve. Compared with ordinary solar controllers, MPPT controllers can increase the
efficiency of PV modules by 10%-30%. SCC-01 MPPT solar controllers 10A--60A include 12V series, 24V
series and 48V series.

MPPT advantage:
An ordinary controller, which makes PV battery work on 12V ,only outputs power of 53W (a general power
point); The MPPT controller makes PV battery always work at the maximum power point, thus outputs
power of 75W (the maximum power point).
