5. GENERAL NOTES

1. Vendor shall confirm that the corrosion allowance is considered in thickness calculation of carbon
steel part.

2. The valve manufacturer shall review the material specified in the data sheet and confirmed
suitability for intended service conditions, in case of any deviation in specified material for service
condition bidder shall clearly indicate in his proposal & alternative material shall be proposed.

3. Marking on the valve shall be as per applicable code & standard.

4. Tag plate shall be stainless steel.

5. The end flange shall be integrally cast or forged with body. Valve with welded-on end flanges shall
not be permitted.
6. Flow direction shall be indicated on valve body.

7. The Valve external coating shall be as per Orpic Standard (Doc. Ref. No. S-000-13A0-001 -

General specification for painting).

8. Casting for Hinge pin is not acceptable.

9. Bidder to submit detail cross section drawing giving the full detail of material of construction for
each part during bidding stage.

10. Data Sheet must returned by Bidder with Quotation with the deviation offered clearly marked.
Quotes without this sheet shall not be reviewed.

11. Check valve shall be shipped with the disc supported or secured during transit.
