Volunteer:
OFFICE ASSISTANT, CASTLEMORE MEDICAL CENTRE, BRAMPTON, ONTARIO 2011-2012.
As an office assistance at the Castlemore Medical Centre I dealt with making phone calls to patients,
made or cancelled appointments, filed all documents or reports, and helped patients regarding any
language issues.
EVENT SERVICES HOST, TENNIS CANADA CENTRE, PAN AM GAMES, JULY 12, 2015- JULY 16,
2015, TORONTO.
I volunteered at the Pan Am Games that took place in Toronto in 2015. I worked as an event services
host. There were many responsibilities that came with this position for instance, ushering, access
monitoring, spectator marshal, pre-information marshal, last mile crew, and pacer. Moreover, the
Event Services is responsible for planning and managing the games experience at all competition and
non-competition venues for Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games.
STAGE MANAGEMENT, MAHAUTSAV EVENT, LIVING ARTS CENTRE AND INTERNATIONAL
CENTRE, JULY 11-12, 2015, MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO.
I volunteered at a South Asian Culture Event (Mahautsav Event) that took place on July 11-12, 2015 in
the Living Arts Centre and International Centre. The position I volunteered for was Stage
Management, where I was responsible for artist lineup, Celebrity Coordination, International Artist,
Ushering, VIP seating, and aided the camera crew.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE, 2013-2015
I taught students from grades 3-12 with their punctuation, grammar, sentence structuring. As well as,
aided them with editing, reading, and writing skills.

TUTOR, BRIGHT FUTURE TUTORING, AUGUST 29 - OCTOBER 14, 2016, BRAMPTON, ONTARIO.
I helped students from grade 1-6 with basic Math and French. As well as, helped students with their
editing, reading, and writing skills in English.

Dear Hiring Manager,
Hello, I am applying for the junior policy analyst temporary position at the Ministry
of Children and Youth Services. Currently, I am a 4th year student at York
University, majoring in Political Science, minoring in Health and Society, and
obtaining a certificate in Public Administration and Law. Last 3 years, I have taken
many courses related to, policy, public administration and law, Aboriginals, and
politics. Thus, I have great knowledge on all subjects related to this job position. I
believe that I will be ideal for this position as I have the right amount of
experience, knowledge, and expertise in policy analysis. Hence, I am interested in
applying for this job as it will help me gain more experience within the
administrative and political field.
I believe that being able to understand, comprehend, and communicate with
different people in different languages is key. Hence, I can fluently speak in 4
languages, English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi. I am excellent at reading, writing,
and presenting. I have excellent knowledge of Microsoft office including Word,
Excel, Outlook, and powerpoint. As well as, I am great at project scheduling,
researching on the internet, and using apple devices. Along with great
communication and computer skills I have excellent organizational skills as I can
multitask effectively, work well under pressure, as well as, I am punctual,
organized, and responsible.
As I am a student I do not have much work experience related to policy analysis
however, I have a lot of volunteer experience that can help me perform my job
very well. For 2 years I volunteered at the Castlemore Medical Centre in Brampton
as an office assistance. I had a lot of responsibilities as an office assistance for
instance, I was in charge of making phone calls to patients, filing all the
documents or reports, helping patients regarding any language issues, and made
appointments. Hence, volunteering at the doctors office really helped me
enhance my communication, organizational, and verbal skills. In 2015, I
volunteered at the Pan Am Games that took place in Toronto. I volunteered at the
Tennis Canada Centre at York University as an Event Services Host. In this position,
I worked as an usher, access monitor, spectator marshal, pre-information marshal,
last mile crew, and as a pacer. The event services team is responsible for planning
and managing the games experiences at all competition and non-competition
venues for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games. From volunteering at the Pan Am
Games I improved my customer services skills.
I believe that I can add great value to the Ministry of Children and youth Services
as I have a lot of experience in customer service and administrative area, which are
