Procedure

1. The document provides instructions for setting up lighting in a model house and village. It describes connecting LEDs in series and parallel circuits to provide lighting for the house and a traffic circle. 2. Steps are outlined for constructing the base for the model from corrugated plastic and plywood, and adding lighting and decorations. 3. Detailed procedures are given for creating an illuminated "MUIDS" billboard using strip LEDs in different colors connected in parallel circuits and powered by two 9V batteries.

PROCEDURE

THE LIGHT I NSI DE THE HOUSE

1. This is how we connect each LED in the circuit. We use the warm light LED in
this circuit. We connect 2 warm light LEDs using series circuit and connect this 2
circuit by parallel circuit. We need to connect the circuit this way because the
voltage of a battery is not enough for 4 LED connected by the series circuit. Our
battery is 4x1.5 V like in this picture. Connect all the light for the house to the
switch using the parallel circuit. Both input and output wires that connected to
switch are the white wire.

THE LIGHT AT THE ROAD

We connected 18 LED white light together by a parallel circuit. We put the LED in
the circle shape to be a traffic circle of the village. First, we draw the line for LED
to stick in. Then, we bent each leg of the LED to lock the LED in the position.
Second, we solder the white wire to the positive side and the black wire to the
negative side. Third, we connect the white wire to the white wire and connect the
black wire to the black wire to form the parallel circuit. Last, connected the wire
to switch and connect to the battery.
THE BASE

1. Cut the corrugated plastic sheet in the size that we want which is about 60
cm x 65cm
2. Cut the plywood in size of 65 cm. and size of 25 cm. twice and the other
one is 60 cm.
3. Stick the plywood on the side of the corrugated plastic sheet by hot glue
4. Stick balsa wood to at the corner of the corrugated plastic to make the base
tough.
MUI DS PART

1. We drafted MUIDS on the corrugated plastic

2. Sticked the LED on the corrugated plastic by following the line
3. Connected all LED by parallel circuit

FI BER OPTIC LIGHT I N THE MI DDLE OF THE TRAFFIC CI RCLE

1. At first we need to cut the fiber optic light into the shorter length so it will
be able to stick in the model
2. We glue all the fiber together
3. We put the fiber into the cap
4. Make the hole at the middle of the traffic circle and stick the fiber inside.
5. Put the light and the base of the fiber optic under the corrugated plastic
6. Connect the wire into the switch
DECORATION

1. We stick the paper grass on the feature board around the house.
2. we draw the road and stick it on the feature board.
3. We stick the cotton on the feature board behind the house.

MUI DS BI LLBOARD

1. We drafted MUIDS on the corrugated plastic

2. Cut striplight LED in the shape of MUIDS
3. We used red, purple and green LED to made this billboard
4. We connected each letter by parallel circuit
5. We use 2 9-volt batteries connected by parallel circuit as a
power supply for the brighter light
