Lab 7 Total Station and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

This document provides instructions for using a total station and coordinate measuring machine (CMM) in a lab. It outlines how to set up and take basic measurements with the Leica Builder total station, including measuring distances, angles, and areas between points of interest. It also describes how to calibrate and take simple part measurements with the TESA MICRO-HITE 3D CMM, such as measuring the dimensions of a square and gauge block. Users are advised to handle the expensive CMM equipment delicately and make contact measurements slowly to avoid damage.
