THE POLYLINE TOOL

You can access the Polyline tool by opening :


- a 8 bit file (Disc Options / Open 8 bit File);
- a 16 bit file (Contour Treatment / Open Memory Session);
- a 8 bit file and a 16 bit file at the same time (Contour Treatment / Open Memory Session);
- a 8 bit file and a 16 bit file at the same time loaded via the Contour Treatment / Open Disk

THE POLYLINE TOOL


This tool allows the user to trace lines.

Procedures

1/ Open a 8 bit file (.ic1 or .img) (Disc Options / Open 8 bit File) or a 16 bit file (.ic2 or .geo)
(Contour Treatment / Open Memory Session) or both at the same time via the Contour
Treatment / Open Memory Session function or by selecting the Contour Treatment / Open
Disk Session function and then by extracting a zone via the tool (See the Scissors tool).

2/ Select the tool by clicking (8 left button) directly over its icon
3/ The following parameter configuration box opens :

Enter the Flag value, the Line thickness and the speed of the automatic click (Autoclick).
See the Flag Tool section for more details about the other parameters.
4/ Validate and close the box via the OK button.
5/ Select the tool by clicking (8 left button) directly over its icon. The pointer takes a L
form.
6/ Set the cursor on the beginning of the line to trace and click left. Follow the line with the
cursor (8 left button). When finished a particular section, click (8 right button) in order to
close the drawing and valid the operation.
The line is traced.
