Initiation:
Good morning 3rd graders! Today I will be teaching the class, and we will be continuing floor
hockey! Can someone remind me some of the safety rules that were discussed last class?
Awesome. Today we are going to be focusing one how to properly hold the hockey stick and how
to pass with a partner. I will demonstrate how to properly hold the hockey stick but I need a
volunteer to help me demonstrate how to pass the hockey puck.

Accommodation: Adapting for Special Needs: A girl in the classroom uses a walker. She may
use her walker for balance or the wall if needed. She is able to perform all of the tasks as I have
seen her in the classroom setting before. Lauren has also mentioned that she will be fine with the
exercises I will have the students perform.

All right 3rd graders, who had fun today! Can some of you tell me the cues that we discussed

Reflective lesson analysis:
I thought that overall my lesson went very well. I was excited to see it come to life and the kids
really seemed to be enjoying themselves. I have to remember to mention the cues more
frequently so the students really understand the importance of them. I thought my voice was very
loud and clear. Also that my instructions were clear for the 3rd graders and I always showed a
demonstration/ checked to make sure they all understood.
