Bachelor of Education, Primary Education Degree

The document discusses strategies used by teachers to facilitate transitions in primary education classrooms. It analyzes two strategies - singing a song and clapping/counting to get students' attention. For singing a song, the teacher rewards students who listen and sit quickly. This strategy helps organize students when they enter class or return from breaks. Clapping/counting also gets students' attention when the teacher needs to pause an activity or stop talking. The teacher threatens to withhold rewards from students who don't comply. Overall, the document argues that transition strategies are important for classroom management and controlling student behavior.

I think using transition strategies in the classroom very important because these
strategies help teachers to maintain classroom management and control
behavior of the students. The teacher can prevent bad behavior by using a
negative reinforcement for example when the teacher ask students to stop
working and they dont listen to the teacher she says "If you dont stop I will not
give you free time" According to skinner he said " So, this based on the
teacher's ability when she using effective behavior management to make a well
managed structured classroom environment( (Cymru, 2102).
