a) the planets in the solar system;
b) the order of the planets in the solar system; and
c) the relative sizes of the planets.

Activity
Pedagogy

1. The teacher will have the students open up a


webpage and go to
https://www.mystorybook.com. This will be written
on the board.
2. Once they open the webpage they should click
the button in the middle of the screen that says
create a storybook.
3. When taken to the blank book template the
students should make the book title Our Solar
System, by double clicking the text to change it,
and write by and their name underneath.
4. The student will then click on the add page button
in the bottom right corner of the screen ten times
to make pages for the planets.
5. Starting from the first page the students will make
a title for each page by clicking the red title
button on the left side of their book.
6. They will type in the name of the planet for that
page, starting with the sun and continuing in the
correct order of the planets. The tenth page
should titled Our Solar System.
7. Using the NASA website given,
http://spaceplace.nasa.gov
, and written on the board, have the students use
a tablet or computer to access the website in a
new tab.

The students will use computers from the school
computer lab or laptops from the school to access the
webpages needed to complete this assignment.
