MPS Formula

This document provides formulas for calculating mean performance score (MPS), age, body mass index (BMI), and percentage of pupils at different BMI levels. It explains that MPS is calculated by summing total scores and dividing by number of pupils. Age is calculated by subtracting date of birth from date of weighing. BMI is calculated by dividing mass in kilograms by height in meters squared. Percentage of pupils at a BMI level is calculated by dividing those at that level by total pupils weighed and multiplying by 100.

MPS Formula

Mean = Total Scores/Raw Scores

No. of Pupils

MPS = Mean________ X 100

No. of Test Items

Note:
To get the mean in MAKABAYAN sum up the Mean/MPS in
four subject areas (HKS, EPP, MSEP, GMRC)
Grade I & III Sibika & Character Education divided by 2 =
Makabayan
To get the average sum up the Mean/MPS in English,
Math, Scince, Filipino, and Makabayan then divide it by 5.

AGE COMPUTATION TABLE

Formula of Age as of date of weighing

AGE = date of weighing (YY-MM-DD)

- date of birth_ - (YY_MM_DD)

ex. July 15, 2010 ---------- 2010-7-15

- Jan. 10, 2010---------- 2000-1-10
10.6 5 10.6 age

Reminder:
If the month of date of birth is bigger than the month of
date of weighing minus 1 or less 1 point.

ex. July 7, 2010 ------------ 2010- 7- 7

- Aug. 25, 2010---------- 2000-8-25
9.10 -1 12 9.9 age
BMI FORMULA

BMI = Mass (kg.)

Height (m2)

= 30 kg
1.4 2 m (1.4 x 1.4 = 1.96)

= 30_
1.96

BMI = 15.31

To get the height in meter (cm to m)

Ex. 140 cm = 1.4 m

100

To get the percentage weighed of the pupils for the

different levels of Body Mass Index (BMI)

Ex. Number of wasted divided by total number of pupils weighted times 100
Note: 100 is constant number

Wasted child is 2
Total number of pupils weighed is 25

2/25 = 0.08 X 100 = 8% percentage
