Course Educational Objectives:
To familiarize with basic principles of Radar Engineering that is essential
for defence and core industry.
Course Outcomes:

Different kinds of target tracking techniques
Radar receiver system.
UNIT-I (12 Lectures)
INTRODUCTION:
Nature of Radar, Maximum Unambiguous Range, Radar Waveforms,
Simple form of Radar Equation, Radar Block Diagram and Operation,
Radar Frequencies and Applications
RADAR EQUATION:
Prediction of Range Performance, Minimum Detectable Signal, Receiver
Noise and SNR, Integration of Radar Pulses, Radar Cross Section of
Targets (simple targets - sphere, cone-sphere), Transmitter Power, PRF
and Range Ambiguities, System Losses.
UNIT-II (14 Lectures)
CW AND FREQUENCY MODULATED RADAR:
Doppler Effect, CW Radar Block Diagram, Isolation between Transmitter
and Receiver, Non-zero IF Receiver, Receiver Bandwidth Requirements,
