Purpose

ModificationAdjustmentinthefirstsystem(Developmentsystem)
Youfirstperformthemodificationadjustmentinthedevelopmentsystem.Youneedtomakesurethatdevelopmentsystemismodifiedinthesamewayasqualityandproductionsystem.All3systems
havetobeonthesameSAPsystemrelease.
applythesupportpackagesonthedevelopmentsystemuntilyourunagainstphase:RUN_SPPD_?(toadjusttheDictionaryObjectsinSPDD)orRUN_SPAU_?(toadjustallotherRepositoryobjectsin
SPAU)
createtwoseparateWorkbenchrequest(SE01),oneforSPDDandoneforSPAU.Thisisbecausetheyhavetobeimportedatdifferenttimes(SPDDtransportaftertheDDICimportofthequeueand
SPAUtransportafterthemainimportofthequeue).
Createataskforeachdeveloperwhoisinvolvedinthemodificationadjustment.
Havedeveloperstoperformthenecessaryadjustmentsandtheymustreleasetheirtasksaftertheadjustmentiscompleted.
Inordertoautomaticallytransferthetransportrequesttothesubsequentsystemsforanautomaticmodificationadjustment,youmustflagitfortransportbycallingtransactionSPDD/SPAU.Frommenu
Utilities>SelectforTransportorAssignTransport(forhigherrelease).ThiswilladdtheCTSprojectSAP_ADJUSTtothementionedtransportrequest(aprerequisitetolaterdeterminetherequest
asadjustmentrequest).
YoufinishSPAMbyignoringtheRUN_SPAUphase,andchoosecontinueasmodificationadjustmenthadbeendone.
Asfinalstep,whentheSPAMhasfinished,releasethetransportrequests.

ModificationAdjustmentinsubsequentsystem(Quality/Productivesystem)

Definethesamelistofsupportpackagesinthesubsequentsystemasthesupportpackagelevelsinyourdevelopmentsystem.
Afterthequeuehasbeendefined,thesystemasksyouwhetheryouwanttoincludemodificationadjustmenttransports.
Ifyoudonotgetthisprompt,InSPAM/SAINTmenuExtras>Settingsandmark"IncludeAdjustmentTransports"or"Alwaysask"ontheTabDefiningaQueue.
Adialogboxappears,containingalistofexistingmodificationadjustmenttransports.YoucanalsocallthisdialogboxbychoosingDisplay/DefinebuttonontheSPAM/SAINTinitialscreen,andthen
chooseAddAdjustmentTransportstoQueueinthedialogboxofthecurrentSupportPackagequeue.
Ifnoadjustmenttransportsaredisplayedinthelist,youneedtonotifythesystemofthetransportsbychoosingFindAdjustmentTransports(SPAM/SAINTmenuunderSupportPackage>Find
AdjustmentTransports)Thesystemthenliststhereleasedtransportrequeststhatyouhavemarkasmodificationadjustmenttransports.TheStatusfieldforeachadjustmenttransportshowswhether
ornotitmatchesthecurrentSupportPackagequeueandcanthereforebeincluded.AdjustmenttransportsthatmatchtheSupportPackagequeuearealreadyselectedinthetable.Anadjustment
transport"matches"thequeuewhentransportattributeSAP_COMPONENT(seenfromSE01)betweenthecurrentqueueandtheexportsystemisthesame.
Ifrequired,changetheadjustmenttransportselection.Pleasenotethat,youcannotselectadjustmenttransportsthatdonotmatchthequeue.
ToaddtheadjustmenttransportstotheSupportPackagequeue,chooseCopySelectedAdjustmentTransports
YoucannowimportthisqueueinSPAMandtheobjectsfromtheincludedadjustmenttransportwillbeadjustedautomatically.

CommonIssuesDuringModificationAdjustment

SCCRKeyduringmodification
Thereisno14daysperiodtoadjusttheobjectswithoutSSCRkey!Ingeneralitiscorrectthattheobjectkeyneedstobeinsertedincaseofmodification.Theonlyexceptionistheupgradewiththe14
dayobjectkeyfreetime(seeSAPKBA1705730).Ifthekeyfortheobjectisnotyetmaintainedinthatsystemforthecurrentrelease,itisnecessarytoinsertit.Asyouimplementsupportpackagesvia
SPAM,thisisnotanupgrade,soitisnotexpectedtohaveanobjectkeyfreetime.
TerminationatphaseSPDD_SPAU_CHECK
CheckinSM37,ifbatchjobOCS_QUEUE_IMPORTterminatedwitherror"Internalerror:MESSAGE_ADD_TO_PROTOCOL".Thiserrorisrelatedtopermissionsproblems.Pleasereviewthe
permissionson/usr/sap/trans/logand/tmpdirectory.

Whentryingtoaddmodificationadjustmenttransportstothequeue,intheCheckResultcolumnreturnaredtrafficlight(Transportdoesnotfit)
Anadjustmenttransport"matches"thequeueifthetargetSupportPackagestatusofthecurrentqueueisthesameastheoneintheexportsystematthetimewhenthemodificationadjustment
transportisexported.
PleasegototransactionSE01,displaytransportrequests,expandtherequestattributes,thereyoucanfindtheSAPCOMPONENT.ThislistshowstheSupportpackagelevelwhentherequestwas
released.TheseSPlevelsshouldmatchthelevelsatthetargetsysteminordertoberecognizedasa'matched'request.
