to pay the amount in 6 instalments. How much does he
have to pay monthly?

(d) The temperature of the water in a kettle is 30C. The


water is allow to cool down. If the water temperature
drops 3C every minute, how long does it take for the
temperature to drop to 15C.

1.2 Combined Operations on Integers


1. For calculations involving on addition
and subtraction, or only multiplication
and division, we do the operations from
left to right.
Examples:

2.For calculations involving combined operations of addition,


subtraction, multiplication, division and brackets, we do the
operation inside the brackets first multiplication or division
additions or subtraction from left to right .

(e) A helicopter is 500 m above the sea level. It descends 50
