ISBT provide safe, ecofriendly cost effective and efficient modes of transportation..
THE PROJECT
The Indore Development Authority intends to construct Inter State Bus Terminus in at
Indore. The area reserved for the ISBT is about 8.67 Hect. The provisional land use break-up for
planning of the ISBT area shall be such that 35% of the ISBT area may be the saleable area in terms
of plots which can be for Commercial/Commercial-cum-Residential uses permitted in super corridor
use as per Indore Development Plan 2021. The remaining ISBT area shall be designed looking to the
present & future needs of Inter-state Bus Traffic. The planning should have provisions for all modern
amenities . Presently the bus traffic is approximately 500 buses/day. Looking to the futuristic demand
provisions for more buses, platforms, parking area, passenger facilities have to be considered for
designing/planning of the ISBT area.
SITE DETAILS
Indore is the largest city of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It serves the
headquarters of both Indore District and Indore Division. A central power city, Indore exerts a
significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and
entertainment and has been described as the commercial capital of the state.
Located on the southern edge of Malwa Plateau, the city is located 190 km west
of the state capital of Bhopal. With a Census-estimated 2011 population of 1,960,631 distributed
over a land area of just (526 km2), Indore is the most densely populated major city in the central
province. The Indore Metropolitan Area's population is the state's largest, with 2.2 million people
living there. It is the 14th largest city in India.
Indore's financial district, anchored by central Indore, functions as the financial
capital of the Madhya Pradesh and is home to the Madhya Pradesh Stock Exchange, India's third
oldest stock exchange. Indore's real estate market is among the most expensive in the state. Numerous
colleges and universities are located in Indore, including IIM Indore and IIT Indore.
SCOPE OF WORK
Plan, design, finance, engineer, construct, develop, equip, operate,
maintain and manage the Project.
Construction of building of Bus Terminal-cum-Commercial
Complex
as per the design approved by Design Approval Committee, in
conformity to the Technical Specifications and standards set forth.
To plan for overall traffic circulation within the campus and on
roads outside the campus.
Operation and Maintenance of the integrated Bus Terminal-cumCommercial Complex in accordance with the provisions of the
Agreement and the Schedules here of.

REASON FOR SELECTING THE TOPIC
Indore Transport Undertaking is providing free traveling facility to freedom fighters, handicapped
persons, and war widows etc. The IDA is also providing concessional facility to the Senior Citizens,
Indore Police, CBI and concessional bus passes are issued to the students.
THE MAJOR REQUIREMENTS OF THE PROJECT ARE
Drinking water taps and coolers
Separate toilet facilities of ladies and gents
First aid facilities for 24 hours
Police post, bank and post office
Sitting chairs lights and fans facility on every platform with the automatic generate system.
Cloak room, porter, pco/std/isd, parking and taxi scooter tonga stand.
Cabins for distribution of tickets.
Office accommodation to the transporters
Public addresses system
Shops/counters/trolleys have been allotted for all general items such as tee, juice, fruits, eatables,
newspapers, magazines etc.
