TL-401 USB 4 CH

How to use Hyper Terminal


1. Go to Menu Start -> All program -> Accessories -> Communications ->
HyperTerminal

2. Select New Connection and key any Name you want, click Ok, then select PORT
Com port may be not the same as manual , depend on each PC. Some port is may
used.

3. In COM Port Properties, please set following right image, then click ok

4. Go to Menu File -> Properties , select Settings tab and then select ASCII Setup
As follows images. Then back to Hyper Terminal page

You can put command and press ENTER to control TL-401 board.

Command Names ( all command will be follow by ENTER )


@i : To show all seting
@tx : Interval time between each measurement X is in second ( 2-3600 )
@my : Mode to record
y = 0 work in append mode { recode until memory full }
y = 1 work in overwrite mode { Data will be overwrite when memory full }
@b : Start to record the temperature
@e : Stop to record the temperature. This command may slow response in case time
interval is set too fast ( 2-4 seconds )
@r : Read the data from memory in board to Hyper Terminal program
@c : Delete the data in memory, please do this command when board stop to record
the temperature only.

Standalone Mode
Before to start this mode, User has to setup the board with PC, to set interval time to
record each data of temperature.
To work in this mode, no need to connect the board to PC via USB cable. This board
require external power supply 4.5 to 5.0VDC.
1. Remove Jumper out. Connect 4.5 to 5.0V supply supply.

2. LED is on , Board is ready to work


3. Press Button which is on board, LED will blink slowly.
( Data is record to memory )
Press and Hold Button 1 second, Board will stop to record. LED is not blinking
Press and Hold Button 5 second, LED will blink very fast 4-5 times, Data in
memory will be deleted.
In Append mode, when the data almost full in the memory, LED will blink very fast
to alert user that memory will be full.
How to transfer the data from memory to PC
1. Remove external supply
2. Connect board via USB to PC, Run Hyper Terminal . Use command @r
