Plot is defined as the cause-and-effect relationship between events in a story. A plot establishes causality between events, where one event causes the next to occur. For example, in the story of Cinderella, the Prince searching for Cinderella with the glass shoe (event A) causes Cinderella's sisters to try on the shoe (event B), which then causes the Prince to find Cinderella when the shoe fits her (event C). Event B is not necessary for the plot, as events A and C are causally linked without B. Narrative techniques provide deeper meaning for readers and help visualize situations through tools like metaphors, similes, imagery and flashbacks.

Plot is a narrative term defined as the events


that make up a story. A plot was defined in 1927 by the Englishnovelist E. M. Forster.
Forster defined a plot as the cause?and?effect relationship between events in a
story. Forstersays, The king died and then the queen died, is a story. The king
died, and then the queen died of grief, is a plot.A plot is causality. Causal events
make up the plot of the story. For example, event A: The Prince searches
forCinderella with the glass shoe, then event B: Cinderella's sisters tried the shoe
on, but it does not fit, after that eventC: The shoe fits Cinderella, the Prince finds
her. Among these events, event B may be omitted. This is because, A isthe cause
of C, but B is not the cause of C. A?B?C is a story, and A?C is a plot. A story orders
events from A to Z intime, and is different from a plot.(b) Narrative techniquesAns.
Narratives are works that provide an account of connected events. There are many
types of literature that areconsidered narratives, including novels, dramas, fables,
folk tales, short stories, poetry, etc. Narrative techniquesprovide deeper meaning
for the reader and help the reader to use imagination to visualize situations. First, it
isimportant to understand that literary elements in narratives include setting, plot,
theme, characters, style/structure,perspective/voice, etc., since literary techniques
are best understood in the context of one of these elements. Literarytechniques
include metaphors, similes, personification, imagery, hyperbole, alliteration,
backstory, flashback, flash

Ans. A biography or simply bio is a detailed description of a person's life. It involves


more than just the basic factslike education, work, relationships, and death, but also
portrays a subject's experience of these life events. Unlike aprofile or curriculum
vitae, a biography presents a subject's life story, highlighting various aspects of his
or her life,including intimate details of experience, and may include an analysis of
the subject's personality.At first, biographical writings were regarded merely as a
subsection of history with a focus on a particular individualof historical importance.
The independent genre of biography as distinct from general history writing, began
to emergein the 18th century and reached its contemporary form at the turn of the
20th century.(d) Narrative proseAns. Narrative prose is a form of writing in which the
work is written in prose, rather than in poetry, and tells adefinite story through
actions. Many written works are written in this form, including a great deal of
literary work andmost modern pieces of fiction. The narrative aspect of this style
comes from the fact that events occur and are narratedwithin the work, rather than
having events occur outside of the framework of the story. Narrative prose also

meansthat the story is told in a prose format, which is basic language, rather than a
poetic format that may deal with meterand rhyme. Perhaps one of the simplest
types of writing to understand, narrative prose typically consists of a narrativestory
written in a fairly clear prose format.
