This is the most fastest,most powerful and the best handling pulsar ever made. pin the clock 8yrs back,
the pulsar brand was a blast from the past ,bajaj enterd the motorcycle market with,the pulsar,a new
name to performance biking since then huge success came parallel,the brand pulsar potrayed as a
performance machine with it’z muscular styling and tough performance. With some tweaks here and
there, goodies added and some garnish on the styling, the brand moved on for higher displacement
bikes with the 180,200,and then finally p220dtsfi, ,with the whole country waiting two yrs of the long
Gestation period, the flagship model rolled out with a whole lot of first’s in the Indian market and a
whole lot of tech goodies making it one of the most desirable bikes in the market…but unfortunately
bajaj didnt seem to spark the hay due to failure in the fuel injection and price out of reach for the
average Indian to make their performance bike dream to a Reality.
Two years of development and research and bajaj ended up with this The Pulsar220
DTSi, yeah u heard it rite no Fi this time,with the fuel injector gone for good, the new pulsar can now
breathe through a carburetor,the way it was meant to be,with no major cosmetic changes,but they
thought of tanning it black by giving the bike an all new black theme which makes it look leaner and
meaner. The other visible changes are the 3d chisled logo and F[F=fastest Indian] sticker in the quarter
fairing which makes the bike look fresher.
The pulsar 220dtsi engine gets a bit of tweak in the engine with high lift cams and piston in
graphite coating, and with the power pumped up to scrotching 21bhp at 8000rpm,it’s faster and
quicker than anything on two wheels in the Indian market, performance is Spellbound, acceleration is
wickedly fast,with a twist of the wrist this bike goes from 0-60 in a whooping 3.8 seconds, twist it
further and it goes all the way upto 138km/hr, and the composure at which it does all this awesome,
there is a point beyond which,all bikes looses it’z power due to the friction of air but in this there is not
let up at all,guess it’z moving in a vaccum. Really awesome for Indian bike.Just as the track played in its
commercial ”all the birds in this town wish they could fly like I can” with this bike it’z partially true.
The pulsar220 comes equipped with a 55w projection headlamp with high penetrating beams which
actually light up the road like a carnival , The fairing gives the bike a sporty and aggressive look but
wat impresses the most is whatever speed you ride this bike,the bike feels calm and more civilized
and bajaj has taken care of the vibrations too,but the bike has faults just like any other bike. The mirrors
is hopeless feels more like a wings of a bird flapping, and the built quality not at all comparable with
other brands.
Handling is Precise. As the pirelli tagline goes ‘power is nothing without control’,with lots of power on
tap bajaj did manage controlling all these with the set of front and rear disc brakes and new set of sticky
mrf soft compound tyres,which makes it glued to the tarmac,which gives good feedback on both sand
and gravel once the tyres are bit heated up.[Note: the latest load of bike come with Irc tyres and rear
bybre brakes,[wondering wat brand it is]it’z the Indian version of Italian exotics’ brake manufacturer
Brembo…seeemz tempting huh??]
The bike with it’z ready to go anywhere attitude makes it one of the
most desirable bikes in the market, with the exclusion of the Fi the price crashes down from 93,000 to
73,000 if u have that kind of money and you are looking for a daily commuter -cum -performance bike
with a performance engine, so u ride to work and back home on the weekdays and could tear down the
straits and corners whenever you want to experience the high in biking,look no further. This is it!!! But
also with the tech goodies you find in a R15 which costs 1,07,000 which gives the pulsar 220 a great
value for money and gives it’z rival Karizma a gud run for it’s money.

Rivals= 180RTR-it’z like a nerd who know’s to do the foreplay but kinda not knowing how to have
sex{lotz of torque but no mid range power}…
