Maths
This term year 9's will do an extended
data handling project. They have been conducting smaller projects and should now be ready to take this to a higher level having addressed any issues that they had. This is all in preparation for the coursework that they will complete next term. Following the data handling cycle they will carry out planning, sampling, collection, representing and analysing. During this term we will be exploring new ways of representing data and I will expect to see students using these in their study. Every student will be given a guidance booklet to help them. They should also expect to get other pieces of homework some weeks as well.

Science
Year 9 will be continuing the work on
infection and disease that they began on the last day of last half-term. Their homework will be GCSE questions related to this, set at 3 different difficulty levels; they should complete the questions for 2 of these levels. The purpose of using GCSE questions as homework is so that they have as much practice as possible at the type of questions they will get in exams later in their school career. Due in Tues 8th P4
