Course Description
Ecological framework of sustainable development; pollution environments:
water, air and solid waste treatment process, disposal and management; government
legislation, rules, and regulation related to the environment and waste management;
and environmental management system.
II.
General Objectives:
At the end of the course, students are able to:
1. Understand the various effects of environmental pollutions
2. Know the existing laws, rules, and regulations of the government on
environmental issues.
3. Identify, plan, and select appropriate design treatment schemes for waste
disposal.
4. Understand the importance of waste management and its relevance to the
engineering profession.
Specific Objectives: At the end, students should be able to:
1. Appreciate the importance and complexity of environmental engineering
problems, issues, and ecological cycles.
2. Familiarize the contaminated environments and their treatment procedures.
3. Evaluate the degree of contamination in the system and legal process associated
with it.
