Creating A Business Continuity Plan: Micky Hogue, CRM

- A business continuity plan (BCP) outlines the steps an organization needs to take to recover from a disaster and continue business operations. It contains information on recovery teams, procedures for responding to and declaring a disaster, and requirements for continuing essential functions at an alternate site. - The BCP establishes roles and responsibilities for management, recovery, and organizational teams. It also provides checklists for initial response, contacting vital records, and restoring systems and data at an alternate facility. - Maintaining up-to-date contact lists, requirements for equipment and infrastructure, and recovery procedures are critical for the BCP to be effective in the event of a disaster.
