Unang Gantimpala sa Pagsulat ng Sanaysay
This award is given during one of the contest in the Buwan ng Wika celebration--Pagsulat ng Sanaysay to the contestant who got the highest mark among all judges
scores.
Specific requirement:
1. Currently enrolled first to fourth year student of MTC.
2. Currently taking the subject Filipino 01.
Selection Process
1. Contestants from pre-registration were gathered in the Computer Laboratory of
MTC.
2. From the theme, they were asked to compose, using Microsoft Word application, a
700-word essay.
3. The word file was sent to a unique addressee email. The entries were judged by
faculties and heads of different departments from the College of Arts and Sciences.
4. Top three highest scorer were awarded first to third place, respectively.
5. Winners were only notified during the celebration of the closing of the Buwan ng
Wika held on August 30, 2013.
1st Battle of the Beast (Search for Outstanding Accounting Wizard) Champion
This award is given to the highest scorer from the Final Round (two rounds, first is
Elimination) of the said award-titled quiz bee.
Specific Requirement:
1. The elimination round is open to all enrolled BSA students of College of
Accountancy and Management.
2. No grade lower than 85 in all board-related subjects as of the elimination date.
3. Should have no disciplinary offenses.
Selection Process:
1 The contest has three levels, Level I, II and III for 2 nd, 3rd, 4th year levels,
respectively.
2. The elimination is a written examination. The Top 7 or Top 10 students who will got
the highest score shall proceed to the Final Round.
3. The Final Round consist of Easy, Average and Difficult Rounds with 10, 10, 8 and
2,3,5; questions and points for every round, respectively.
4. At the end of Final Round, total points will be computed. Any tie will be broken.
Contestants who got the three highest scores in ascending order were awarded as
3rd place, 2nd place and Champion, respectively.
Chairmans Circle Award for 2nd Semester, A.Y. 2013-2014
This institutional award is given to bona-fide student who got a general weighted
average of 92.00 and above with no grade below 85% during the recent semester.
Specific Requirement:
1. Bona fide is:
a. he/she should have no grade below 85% in all subjects.
b. should have enrolled the minimum load prescribed for the course for the current
semester.
c. have no record of disciplinary violations.
Selection Process:
1. Grades of all bona-fide students are ranked (all processes are highly registrar
work).
2. They are ranked every semester end. Awards are given to students from the
produced list from the College Registrar grouped into Chairmans, Presidents and
Deans Listers and further by course and year-level based on this scheme:
92.00 and above
Chairmans
90.00-91.99
Presidents
86.00-89.99
Deans;
with Chairmans Circle as the most outstanding award.
3. Recipients were awarded during the annual Parangal for Students. Doubleawardees are awarded accordingly since the award-giving is between semester end
dates.
2nd Runner-Up 1st Intersectional Statistics MathSaya Quiz
This award is given to the highest scorer from the Final Round (two rounds, first is
Elimination) of the said award-titled quiz bee.
Specific Requirement:
1. The elimination round is open to all enrolled students of MTC currently taking up
any statistics course.
2. No grade lower than 85 in all board-related subjects as of the elimination date.
3. Should have no disciplinary offenses.
Selection Process:
1 The contest has two parts.
2. The elimination is a written examination. The Top 7 or Top 10 students who will got
the highest score shall proceed to the Final Round.
3. The Final Round consist of Easy, Average and Difficult Rounds with 10, 10, 5 and
2,3,5; questions and points for every round, respectively.
4. At the end of Final Round, total points will be computed. Any tie will be broken.
Contestants who got the three highest scores in ascending order were awarded as
2nd Runner Up, 1st Runner-Up, and Champion, respectively.
