Briefly discuss the above named under the following headings:

Students are encouraged to maintain their own personal learning portfolio containing reflections
of the proceeding and allied materials, and this may form part of the assessment. Plagiarism
shall not be tolerated. This involves submitting or presenting work in a course as if it were the
student`s own work done expressly for that particular unit, when in fact, it was not. Plagiarism
using the oral or written words and ideas of others without proper acknowledgement is an
academic offense. Because plagiarism is a form of academic misconduct, students found guilty
face serious consequences. Students who are unsure of what constitutes plagiarism are advised to
consult with the lecturer. Late submission shall result in a loss of marks, if for one reason you
can`t meet the dead line let me know.

Marking Criteria
Clear demonstration of understanding of the condition, and how it impact on human
health (10 Marks)
Factual content - Containing all of the required information with no, or only a few minor,
errors (10 Marks)
Identification, discussion of the organism responsible for causing the disease, its
lifecycle, methods of infection, diagnosis and judgment, including signs and symptoms,
and interventions if any (20 Marks).
Understanding and critical evaluation - Full understanding of topic within its wider
context and ability to integrate ideas from a wide range of sources (30 Marks).
Communication skills - Expression is lucid and concise with a perfect use of English.
Arguments logically developed and essays systematically structured. Tables and figures
are used where necessary and are clear and effective (20 marks).
Citation, referencing, etc (10 marks).
Referencing: Appropriate references should be given for all direct quotations and when citing
the work of others. There are many acceptable referencing systems, but basically a full reference
must include enough information about the cited material for it to be readily located by the
reader. For this particular assignment a Harvard (author date) system must be used.

Instructions:
Length: Write up to ( 6 -10 pages)
Font size: 12 Point Times Roman
Late papers will be penalized at the rate of 5% per day (including weekends)
