HEC Academic Evaluation Criteria

The HEC Academic Evaluation Formula (HEC-AEF) provides a system to assign points to academic qualifications and degrees. Points are awarded based on percentage of marks obtained or CGPA achieved in various degrees including matric/O-levels, intermediate/A-levels, bachelors, masters, and MPhil. Higher percentages and CGPAs earn more points. Separate tables provide point assignments depending on whether the bachelors degree was 3 years or 4 years. The maximum total points possible are 90 for 3-year bachelors and 80 for 4-year bachelors. Formulas are also provided to convert CGPAs and GPAs to percentage of marks.
