1. Situation 1
Child: You are not good at academic subjects, but have great interest in
cooking. Therefore, you want to attend a cookery course at a
local cookery school. However, your mother wants you to go to
university. Try to convince your mother.
Mother: Your child wants to go to a vocational school instead of a
university, but you dont agree. You are afraid that people will
look down on him if he doesnt have a university degree. Try to
convince him.

Child: Youve finished 2 years of master program in Singapore; now its time
for you to come back. However, you want to settle down in
Singapore (because you are enjoying a high living standard with
a job in a multicultural company). However, your parents
insist that you have a brighter future back home in Hanoi. How
can you convince them?
Parents: You havent seen your child for 2 years. Now its time for him to
come back and you cant wait to see him. But he says that he is
going to settle down in Singapore. You are so angry and
disappointed because you hope that he will use what he learned
abroad to help develop our country. Try to convince him.
