Risk mitigation plans identify the activities that have been planned to reduce the probability of the occurrence of a
particular risk and/or to minimize the adverse impact of the occurrence of a particular risk.
Risk contingency plans define the strategies, activities, and budget that have been planned for responding to a
particular risk, if and when the risk occurs - including trigger date.
Reserve plans define the management and/or contingency reserves set aside to address risks affecting the projects
costs or schedules.
Additional project reserve plans define the management and contingency reserves set aside to address risks yet
to be identified or to address unexpected costs associated with existing risk response plans.
Insurance plans guarantee coverage of loss due to a risk occurrence should it occur but, at an additional cost to the
project.
