How To Using TeraTerm

RS232 modules can be debugged using the TeraTerm software by following several steps: 1) Pair the PC with the RS232 module via Bluetooth and identify the correct COM port number. 2) Open TeraTerm, connect to the correct COM port, and enable local echo to view data sent to the microprocessor. 3) Sending a '1' will make the buzzer beep, while a '2' will make it stop beeping.

Debugging RS232 using TeraTerm

RS232 module can be debugged using `TeraTerm software. Please refer to the steps
below for
the RS232 settings using `TeraTerm.

Step 1:

Open the `Bluetooth settings on your PC. Please refer Figure 1.

Desktop > Taskbar > Bluetooth icon > Show Bluetooth Devices.

Step 2:

Pair your PC with RS232 module via Bluetooth as shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3.

Step 3:

Next, identify the COM port number of the devices.

1) Open the `Devices and Printers.


Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers.
2) Check the port through the properties of the Bee. Please refer Figure 4.
Right click on Bee > Properties > Services

Step 4:
Open the `Tera Term software after installed it in your PC and connect it with the
right COM port
Tera Term > Serial > COM ?? > OK ( Refer Figure 5)

Step 5:
Next, you need to enable the local echo so that the data from the computer to the
microprocessor is displayed. Refer to Figure 6 and Figure 7.

Results:
Press reset button on RS232 module and connection established will be displayed
on the `Tera Term.
Send a 1 the buzzer will beep.
Send a 2 the buzzer will stop beeping.
