Principals Corner
Dear ISG Jubail Community,
It is a great pleasure to greet our
community returning members, as
well as all new members to our
special ISG-J community.
The new school year has kicked off
fast and smoothly, despite our
faculty absences. The number has
slowly dwindled but we are still
facing complications with regards
to health related issues or
dependent visas which are not
currently being issued to
sponsored staff waiting to arrive.
That being said, we currently have
5 sponsored hire members of staff
that are still being held up in their
home country due to dependent
visas. This number is much better
than the 12 members of staff that
were still away on the first day of
school. If you have questions
regarding your children's teachers
please contact the school for more
information, Shan Ahmed, our
Elementary Vice Principal and
Alex Pethan, our Middle School/
High School Vice Principal. For
now, we have received bookings
for Thanh Dinh (Chemistry) and
Yulisa Cruz (Learning Support)
and have been eagerly waiting for
their arrival.
At ISG Jubail, we continue to try to
improve our systems and teaching
practices. We will be taking the
MAP test next week to see what
our baseline is for; Reading,
Language usage, Math and
Science. This will allow us to see
what impact the summer months
had on learning as well as help us
determine what type of growth we
can expect from each student from
grades 1-10.
We will endeavour to set
individualized goals with students
with regards to MAP growth and
progress.
I will be reporting on our scores
shortly after Eid break.
Please take note of our Back to
school nights coming up next
week as well. This will prove to be
a valuable opportunity to get to
meet your child/rens teachers as
well as hear from them about the
course of study for your kids
throughout the coming months.
I would like to report that this year
has begun on a positive note! We
have the best faculty/teaching staff
that I have every had the pleasure
of working with while here in
Jubail. Our teachers are bringing
a great deal of experience to the
table and we are all committed to
creating dynamic learning
experiences for our students. Our
core values combined with a
growth mindset have set the table
for a truly wonderful year of
learning.
Please communicate with your
childrens teachers for any
questions you may have about the
course of study and the learning
that we wish to take place.
I wish you, our parents and our
students, a wonderful year of
engagement, growth and
learning!
We are embracing this year with
enthusiasm and opening our arms
to the learning opportunities that
lie ahead!
Warm regards,
Dan Mock

MS & HS Bring Your Own Laptop Program
This school year, our Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program is applicable to both Middle School
and High School. Students can access resources, collaborate and share learning in ways not
previously possible. They are more connected and are becoming better prepared for their roles in
an ever changing, modern landscape. However, even given these improvements with student
learning, we are acutely aware that important learning takes place outside of screens and are
constantly reflecting upon preferred practices to strike the most appropriate balance.
Please click on the links below to get more details about BYOL programs and laptop specifications:
Middle School Bring Your Own Laptop Program (Grades 6-8)
High School Bring Your Own Laptop Program (Grades 9-12)

uniform for their physical education classes.
We currently dont have all PE uniform sizes available on sale in
the student store. They will be available after Eid break.
T-shirts and shorts are 40 SAR, and pants are 60 SAR. For all PE
related news see our Physical Education Department Blog.
After School Activities

be the week of September 4th and will run through September 9th. For new parents, while you can
sign up for as many activities as you or your child wants, we can only guarantee one activity at the
very least. More details in our ASA Blog.
MS/HS After School Sports
