17. Go to the Get Company Info box and enter your companys name or ticker. In
Company Dossier, click on your company. In the Snapshot, compare the number of
employees to the figure found on Business and Company Resource Center. Is the number
the same as #6 above? What does this tell you?
The number of employees found here was 110,000 which was the same.
This tells me that the number of employees is likely accurate.
18. Review the company Snapshot. Who is the chief executive and what is his/her title?
Tim Cook. His title is CEO.
19. Identify one of the companys competitors.
Google Inc.
20. Find Compare Companies at the bottom on the screen. Create a report with your
company and one of its competitors (see #18). What is the name of the other company?
Discuss one way in which these two companies compare/contrast?
The other company is Google Inc. These companies fiscal years end at a different time. Apples
ends in September and Google in December. Apple had a 42% higher amount of sales per
employee. Both companies had about $23,000,000 of operating expenses.

21. Go to Create a Company List. Under NAICS code, enter one of the codes from #3.
Then under Geographic Information, go to the Cities box and type Houston. How many
companies did you find? List the top three names here. If fewer than three, provide that
information.
I found 933 companies. The top three names were Eliner Corporation (ELURQ), NetIQ (NTIQ),
Telescan, Inc (TSCN).
