Mathematics Variable Parameter Coordinates Curve

Parametric equations express the coordinates (x,y) of points on a curve using a single variable parameter t. As t varies, the parametric curve is traced out. The cartesian equation can be obtained by eliminating the parameter from the parametric equations. Parametric equations provide efficiency for differentiation and integration. They also allow curves, circles and ellipses to be drawn in higher dimensions and surfaces of complicated objects to be traced using multiple parameters.

INTRODUCTION

In mathematics, two functions which has the same variable, called parameter,
worked to express the coordinates of the points (x,y) of the curve is called parametric
equations of a curve. The point (x,y) is determined by each value of t. As t varies, the
parametric curve will be trace out.
The cartesian equation of the curve can be obtained by eliminating the parameter
from the parametric equations. This conversion to parametric form is called
parameterization, which provides great efficiency when differentiating and integrating.
The benefit of using parametric equations is the image (curve, circle, ellipse) will
work a lot better in dimensions higher than 1 when draw by using parametric equations.
By using more functions than just a pair, a higher-dimensional space, like 3-space can be

done, and trace out lines in it. We can trace out surfaces of more complicated objects by
using more parameters.
