Green teens cycle!

1) He usually travels to school by bus, but this week is going to be different. For the next month, Nick
and his friends are all going to cycle to school. 2) But we want people to see that we think it is
important to stop going by car everywhere. The roads here are very dangerous for students walking to
school.
Nick and his friends meet at Lucys house. 3) Its great because theres a big group of us, says Lucy.
The cars can see us easily so we will be safe. On the way to school, it rains, but the students are
wearing rain jackets so they dont get wet. People think that the weather is too bad to travel by bike,
says Nick. It does rain a lot here Ill be happy to get to school!
Will the students miss their safe cars? 4) When I cycle to school, I arrive feeling great! Its much better
than travelling by car. Lucy agrees. Its a good start to the day, she says. I love the cycle journey in
