Class Rules/Expectations:
Rules
Respect is the most important rule in this classroom. Respect the teacher(s), others, and
yourself at all times.
Expectations
I expect that every single person in the classroom will pass. While I will not give you
anything for free, I will give you any help you may need. All you have to do is ask.
I do not expect to have behavior problems, at all. Parent contact will be made immediately.
Procedures
Entering the classroom
Come in and sit down quietly
Begin on the warm-up assignment
If you finish before I am ready to start, use the extra time to work on other
assignments or study for exams.
Students who are not in their assigned seat when the bell rings will be marked tardy.
Absent Work
It is your responsibility to ask for make-up work and complete it ASAP.
Check the make-up box for missing assignments.
Restrooms
Each student will have three bathroom passes to use throughout the semester.
Students will not be permitted to use the restroom once the passes have been used.
BYOT
See BYOT handout. Please sign and return. Students will not be allowed to use
technology if this is not returned.
Infinite Campus
Students will be required to check their grades using Infinite Campus. Each student
has a login/password and can check their grades anytime.
Textbooks
Textbooks will not be assigned to each student. However, there will be a textbook in
each students desk. Also, you may check-out a textbook at anytime.
Make-up Work
Students have three (3) days to make up work missed due to excused absences.
Make-up tests will be given after school on a day arranged with the teacher. The
student will have to make-up the test within three days of the initial test date. Any
make-up work or test not completed in the designated time frame will result in a
zero. Students will be allowed to make up work for 50% of a grade missed
during an unexcused absence. This includes suspension days.
Grading Policy
Occasionally in grading assignments, mistakes will happen. These mistakes will be
corrected as needed if they benefit the student. However, mistakes that hurt the
students grade will not be changed regardless of circumstances.
Accommodations
Teachers are bound by law to provide any accommodations listed in a students IEP.
However, as teachers we cannot force students to accept accommodations. If a
student refuses accommodations, the assignment will not be redone or the
student will not be retested. The grade of the student will stand.
Late Work
Late work will be accepted as a grade of 50. Most of our assignments are class
work, so the student should turn work in during class.
By signing, I acknowledge that I have read this form and agree to its contents.
