Sentence Patterns

The document discusses sentence patterns in English. It explains that simple English sentences typically follow a subject-verb-object pattern. Some verbs can be followed by both a direct and indirect object. When this occurs, the pattern is subject-verb-indirect object-direct object. Sometimes a preposition is placed before the indirect object, following the pattern of subject-verb-direct object-preposition-indirect object. Several exercises are provided to rearrange words into correct sentences based on these patterns.
