Huawei MSOFTX3000 Table Size Increaseing.

To modify the maximum number of tuples for two tables, CLDDNPREANA and PFXPRO, from 4000 to 8192 and 1024 to 2048 respectively, the document outlines an 11 step procedure including: 1) formatting and consistency checking the database, 2) backing up critical files, 3) increasing the maximum tuple settings, 4) formatting new data, 5) resetting redundant hardware, and 6) verifying the new tuple settings. A separate back off procedure is also described to reverse the changes.

MAXT modification procedure

Guide to Modify Maximum Number of Tuples for

CLDDNPREANA and PFXPRO table:Procedure to Modify Max. Number of Tuples:To modify the maximum number of tuples perform the following steps.

Caution:
If any current step fails, do not proceed further.

Step 1
To format the database, execute the command FMT;
Step 2
To perform consistency check, execute the command STR
CRC: MN= XX;.

Note:
The parameter MN refers to the module number.
All the modules must go through consistency check.

Step 3
(1) To back up the BAM database, execute the command BKP

DB;
(2) Check the backup database for the following files:

Alarm2006XXXX.dat

Stats2006XXXX.dat

XSman2006XXXX.dat

MAXT modification procedure

Reg2006XXXX.dat

Stats2006XXXX.dat

For internal use only

(3) Copy these five files to other devices.

Step 4
(1) Log in to the client terminal of the CSOFTX3000.
(2) To switch the client terminal to Logoff mode, execute the
command LOF;
(3) To query the maximum number of tuples, execute the
command LST MAXT: TID=TID106, TP=WCCU;
LST MAXT: TID=TID108, TP=WCCU;

(4) To increase the maximum number of tuples for the

CLDPREANA table and Prefixpro table from 4000 to
8192 and 1024 to 2048 respectively, execute the
command
MOD MAXT: TID=TID108, LT=WCCU, MAXN=8192;
MOD MAXT: TID=TID106, LT=WCCU, MAXN=2048;

(5) To confirm the modification to the maximum number of

tuples, execute the command:
LST MAXT: TID=TID108, TP=WCCU;
LST MAXT: TID=TID106, TP=WCCU;

To format the new data, execute the command FMT;

Note:
If execution of the command FMT:; fails, do not proceed
further and turn to contact person for further assistance.
Step 5

MAXT modification procedure

For internal use only

To switch the client terminal to Logon mode, execute the

command LON;
Step 6
MOD LSS: PSN=FB, BT=WCCU, PE=NO, DE=NO, DW=YES,
PW=YES;

Step 7
To stop backing up the WCCU/WCSU, execute the command
SET BAKMODE: MN=XX, SW=NOB;
(Set the BACKUP Mode to NOB for all the WCCU and
modules)
Step 8
(1)

Choose Management > System Navigator > Device

Management. Reset a standby WCCU/WCSU. Wait until
the standby WCCU/WCSU is loaded. After the standby
WCCU board comes up reset the active WCCU board.
(If the standby WCCU/WCSU is in error after loading is
complete, do not proceed further and turn to contact
person for further assistance.)

(2)

Choose Management > System Navigator > Device

Management.

Reset another standby WCCU/WCSU.

Wait until the standby WCCU/WCSU is loaded. Ensure

that this standby WCCU/WCSU is operational. After this
reset the active one.
REPEAT THE STEPS FOR ALL THE WCCU BOARDS
After all the boards are reset give the below command:MOD LSS: PSN=FB, BT=WCCU, PE=YES, DE=YES, DW=YES,
PW=NO;
Step 9
To ensure that the maximum number of tuples for table ID:

108 increases to 8192 and for table ID 106 to 2048, execute the
following commands:
DSP TBL: MN=XX, TID="108", CMDTP=TBL;
XX= WCCU/WCSU Module number
DSP TBL: MN=XX, TID="106", CMDTP=TBL;
XX= WCCU/WCSU Module number

Step 10
Re-perform consistency check through the command STR CRC: MN=
XX; XX = is the all module number
Step 11
SET BAKMODE: MN=XX, SW=NMB;
XX= WCCU/WCSU Module number

Do the BASIC call test.

Procedure of Back off

Caution:
If any current step fails, do not proceed further.

If problems appear after you modify the maximum number of tuples, start
the procedure of back off in the following way:
(1) Log in to the client terminal of the CSOFTX3000.
(2) To change the maximum number of tuples for the CLDPREANA tabl
from 8192 to 4000 and Prefixpro table from 2048 to 1024, execute
the

command

MOD

MAXT:

TID=TID108,

LT=WCCU,

MAXN=4000;
MOD MAXT: TID=TID106, LT=WCCU, MAXN=1024;

(3) To format the new data, execute the command FMT:;.

(4) Repeat steps 611 as described in Procedure for Modifying Max.
Number of Tuples
If problems appear after changing the active WCCU/WVDB/WBSG/WMGC to
standby one, reset the active and standby boards one by one.
